Melissa & Eric! A wilderness Wedding

Melissa’s wedding was small, about 25 people. The location is a ranch slash nature preserve near Springville, CA (in the mountains). There is even a blacksmith shop hence the images with the anvil. We walked around the grounds on a trail and took all our couple shots this way, stopping wherever we wanted. We were lucky and did this 2 times because of the lighting, before and quickly after the ceremony.

After dinner we gathered everyone around the fire for final pics with the kids making smoars.

When they booked me they specifically asked me not to do any crazy editing or funky stuff- more traditional in other words. Of course this was after I showed them a bunch of funky artsy stuff! So for their images I used a wide selection of techniques that mirror vintage photographic effects. I hope the effects are not over the top and of course the special effects are applied to copies of images.

I used several family formal images in the SS because I think Melissa & Eric wanted that. I really like family shots even if they seem a little less interesting. They can be fun and are really important. Go families!...

Sorry I didn't use a slow mushy wedding song, I went with the Foo Fighters, don't hate me...
