Aishwarya (Aish) & Mainak's shoot!

Here's a new shoot from Sunday in Pasadena. So isn't her wedding dress fantastic! They have been in the States for about 4 years from Burma & India. I had to talk them into wearing their wedding outfits for some of the shoot if u can believe that. They don't know that us Americans think they look cool! Their wedding is November 2nd 08 and I love photographing Indian weddings so we are all excited. Aish says her mom gives them "too many" complements on the pics... Who Is This Guy...

OMG... Is she not the sweetest little thing! I was having the little girls take turns holding that little box of flowers and this little one just appeared. She was so shy but didn't want to be left out. I tried to work her for pics earlier but she was having no part of my little parade then she just walked up to the girls and kinda froze right there. I tried to turn her to face me but the language barrier proved to difficult. The other two girls turned her to face me and well that brings us to this image... I just don't think she was ready for that step... I did my best to smile and talk softly but she cried and ran away!

Erin & Mark...

This was a special shoot... These guys paid a little extra to have something unique, and we needed a driver (getaway car). I went location scouting for hours on July 4th (photog is my life) and as a result we shot at all new areas. As far as the sinking ship goes I feel it was a little too dangerous looking back, I don't know maybe I'm just getting old but Erin was really scaring me! I could hear her breathing from 80 feet away as she climbed up those rusting steps. That ship is much bigger than I thought, they are really up there. It turned out great and we were all like kids in that we HAD to go up there (well they did- I stayed on land most of the time haha). We all have time to rest now, her wedding is 8-8-09. click here to view their slideshow

Michelle & Nathan: Wedding Day Teasers!

This wedding was at Leo Carrillo beach in Malibu, in a small and beautiful cove in the park. Her ceremony was small and not really traditional as Michelle would say. Their were no flowers and her dress was not white. They were married barefoot about thirty feet from the ocean. YAY! We did manage to capture some beautiful posed shots with ocean backdrops...

Biltmore Brown - Diana's Wedding

Love this shot... Diana & John in front of a "giant" wall print from the 1923 Opening Banquet Ball at the Biltmore Hotel. I did secret things to the image to blend them into the background... Fun stuff...

Mellow Yellow! Yes the Biltmore. This is just a little side area, the kitchen staff kept walking out from behind them too. After the initial editing I gave it a little texture but my favorite is below...

This is the Bradbury Building. It was Diana's Idea to shoot her formals here. As you can see it is totally awesome, but be warned-there is no AC. It was about 130 degrees at the top of this atrium building. The heat was shocking! I mean unbelievable! So to make it something for everyone to remember I had them all go to the top floor to shoot the formals because that was the only open area with light (there was no option). Check out the elevator behind the groom. In case you are location scouting you need special wink wink permission to shoot here too.

Oh... about the editing... I did about 10 different things to achieve this look. More secret stuff :) I love it.

Laurie & Alex's Big Day!

Laurie & Alex's big day was June 14th... She's so pretty here in the sepia image. This was in her hotel room next to a window right after makeup... I said something funny so she would smile all pretty for me... Actually I did this for each of her 3 girls. I think her Mother was the most excited Mom to ever call me too, very nice of her.
